Data Entry Jobs: Scam Or Real Money Making Opportunity?

Any of these ads look familiar? They should, you can find them plastered all over the Internet and in most classified newspaper ads. Data Entry Jobs are currently the latest rage. It seems everyone wants to do them. In fact, I did a check to see how many times people typed in the phrase, ‘data entry’ (with Overture’s Keyword Selector Tool) and found that last month there were 38,490 searches for Data Entry; and that’s not counting all the searches on Google, MSN or any of the hundreds of other search engines on the Internet! That’s also not counting the other phrases people could have typed in, such as; ‘data entry jobs,’ ‘make money with data entry,’ ‘online data entry’ or many other phrases associated with Data Entry.

Why are so many people interested in Data Entry Jobs? Well think about it. You get to work from home (in your pajamas if you want), spend more time with your family, don’t have to worry about leaving your house and getting stuck in that traffic, and you don’t have to hate it every time the alarm goes off each morning. I mean, how irresistible is that?

I decided to do a bit of research on these so-called ‘Data Entry Jobs.’ What did I find? Well, I will tell you this; many of the companies I researched had a lot in common. Now let me start off by saying that I researched some of the more popular Data Entry Programs. What I found was many of these programs had very misleading ads and websites with outrageous promises. Customer service was also very poor and in some cases nonexistent. I emailed some of them to ask a simple question and I never got a response.

Some of the Data Entry programs I researched were from Clickbank’s Marketplace. All of these I found were actually eBooks that tell you, or even show you how you can make money using Google AdWords to sell their product or other Clickbank products. (That is not Data Entry. That is actually Affiliate Marketing.) So in reality, once you join and pay the registration fee for these Data Entry Programs, you will receive the training materials that will teach you how to type more ‘data entry ads’ and convince other people to do the same thing. What they fail to tell you is that YOU have to pay for the ads you place and you ONLY make money IF you make a sale. When I made this discovery I was outraged because not only are these programs misleading, as you actually do not make money for the data entry itself, you only get money if you sell a product, these programs are also fraud and contain false information. That has the word SCAM written all over it. In fact, after further research, I discovered that Clickbank actually had these so-called Data Entry Programs removed from their Marketplace. Why? Well, even though these products were very popular and sold very easily, they also have a very high return rate, which Clickbank frowns upon. That right there should tell you something.

So are Data Entry Jobs scams? In my opinion I don’t think that Data Entry Programs themselves are scams. It’s the WAY they are presented and sell their product to the public that’s misleading. As mentioned earlier, this is nothing more than Affiliate Marketing, which is not Data Entry.

So how does one go about finding legitimate Data Entry Jobs? The key is to find an honest and reliable freelancing data entry job. This is going to require time on your part. You are going to have to do your homework and put in the effort required to find these legitimate jobs. Don’t worry. I have listed a few of the best places to look.

You can use search engines to help you find reliable companies. There are many review sites out there that will give you an unbiased review of data entry programs. Please don’t go into this kind of search believing EVERYTHING you read from these review sites. Believe it or not, there are a lot of review sites that are still promoting data entry programs from Clickbank, which as mentioned earlier are mostly scams.

Another great place to look for data entry jobs is Webmaster forums. Many webmasters are constantly looking to save time by hiring other people to do manual labor so they can focus more on advertising and updating their web sites. Some forums even let you advertise your services, but some also charge you a fee for this, so once again, do your research.

A great place I recently discovered to look for Data Entry Jobs is www.Craigslist.org. Craig’s List is the largest online classified website on the Internet. I used to think it only listed things to buy or sell, but during my research, I discovered they also have a section called “Gigs” which includes a section on ‘Writing’ where people are always looking for someone to do data entry work.

There are many other job sites such as Monster.com, Yahoo and even HotJobs where you can find data entry jobs in your area. Remember to take your time and do a thorough search because you need to insure that you are signing up with a reliable program so that you do not get scammed.

The best way to make sure that you are dealing with a reliable company is to go to www.BBB.org and check out the company you are interested in. The BBB grades companies using their rating system and has official information and customer praise and complaints about most businesses. It’s the best place to find unbiased and accurate information.

So in conclusion, Data Entry Jobs can be a real money making opportunity. Just remember, as with any industry, there are scammers out there who know what you want to hear and are ready to ‘tickle your ears’ with their ads promising instant riches. Don’t fall for them. Do your homework and you will be fine.

How many times have you heard about or received an offer for an apparent great home business opportunity? You know, lots of claims of income and then at the bottom of the website or sales page or infomercial picture, on your television, they have a disclaimer that their scheme will not work for everyone or even a set percentage of people.

Have you bought the most common real estate infomercial that has been around for decades now? A lot of people who are big name money makers now have.

Their customer service to their sign ups is good. You have to work long and hard at it but they will help you to eventually make it if you follow their directions. The part most people do not understand is that you have to work long, smart and hard to make it, without exception.

The above is what you are looking for with any scheme you sign up for. You also want one that has a good safety net refund policy. The ClickBank programs are like this.

You have to be careful to pick good ones though because if you refund too many times they may ban you from the program. Also they, the business opportunity you join, have to be willing to hand hold you until you can swim by yourself and on your own.

If you have been an entrepreneur some time you probably have been ripped off more times than you care to or even can remember. But to go along with this how many of these home business opportunities ended up being a scam? Again, quite a few. This is a part of your growth, with few exceptions.

Have you bought into the real estate and other note buying schemes sold using infomercials and mail order? I did. I even sold a note and made $1500 from it. The cost for the whole thing was $4500. The market for marketers for this is vastly over crowded. A high percentage of entrepreneurs have no chance of making it in this business.

The note business training companies have lots of testimonials but a seminar I went to in Colorado showed me that ninety percent or more of the people there felt ripped off, even before the seminar itself started. The star of it was even angry with us in the audience when we refused to applaud him when he made his grand entrance.

I do hope that you were never the victim of any of these scams. Unfortunately, you do have to take some chances to learn the ropes of what being an entrepreneur involves.
You do have to get burned sometimes to know how it works. I hope to keep you out of the fire, as much as possible, in this article.

You can fight for refunds when you have them coming though. You can learn something from every experience.

Ironically, virtually all of these businesses legitimate or not can be made to work, in time, if you put enough time and money into them. The catch is that it can take an awful long time to attain your success this way.

Unfortunately there are those of us who probably fell for these pseudo opportunities. I have known when going into many different programs that there is a good chance that they likely will not work, even if they have a good refund policy.

The trick to actually save your money by avoiding these home business scams is to go into battle, with the sales people, prepared. Know and insist on a refund policy from every one of them. No refund policy? Fine then do not buy or try it!

The fact of the matter is that these scammers would not be wasting their time if they were not making any money. As long as people continue to get mixed up in this business, these scammers are going to stick around to trick more and more people with exaggerated claims and outright lies to get you to buy.
This makes it very hard on the many legitimate business opportunities there are out there. They have to work harder to earn your trust. You will have to work harder to earn the trust of your customers also once you do find a home business opportunity that does work because of these dishonest activities.

The best way to avoid a home business scam is to thoroughly research each opportunity before you move forward with it. What is the customer assistance level? Is it guaranteed, money back? Does the opportunity fit you personally?

This means doing much more than simply reading a bit about it online. You may possibly get lucky and end up with a good home business opportunity. Chances are that you will not, the first time anyway.
Not only will you want to read what is available on the site itself, but you will also want to search for other information as well. Check with third party review sites, on message boards and forums scrupulously too.

You may find out soon enough that many companies have been reported as being nothing more than a scam. Multi level marketing has been the star of scams over the last thirty years.

You also want to check with the Better Business Bureau if you are thinking about getting involved with a home business opportunity that you are not sure of. They will be able to tell you if they have any complaints on file.

If they do, you will want to avoid the opportunity at all costs unless the complaints were settled fairly. You can be the final authority here. If a company is doing business the right way, you can continue your research.

Before you make a final decision, attempt to get in touch with the company that you are interested in. Give them a chance to respond to any complaints or serious doubts you have.

Can you get them on the phone? Do they get upset with you when you ask questions? If so, it will get worse after you join them. Do not do it.
Do they respond to your emails? Are they slow or non existent? If you cannot even talk to a company before you start, there is no chance that they will be around when you need them.
The above is one test that you can run early on in order to ensure that you are dealing with a reputable company. Ask questions, wait for good replies or do not sign up.

If you do happen to get an employee on the phone ask them questions in order to get some feedback on the company. What is their attitude? Anything that will give you better insight into the home business opportunity is a good question. Conclusion, dig deeply and constantly to find all the facts to avoid wasting your valuable time and money.

Overall, home business scams are all over the place. Do your part in putting them out on the street by not falling prey. The best way to do this is through extensive research and questioning.

How to Work From Home and Become a Wealthy Affiliate

Are you worried about the credit crunch and looking for a way to invest in the future? If you could spare just a few hours a week, you could learn how to work from home and become a Wealthy Affiliate.

A few months ago I was looking for a way to work from home and make money online and I read about a place called Wealthy Affiliate University. I had tried so many things in the past including doing online surveys, which were very boring, time consuming and paid very little. I had also been scammed by get rich quick schemes and tried a data entry work program which was useless. I was beginning to think that my dream to work from home and make money online was hopeless until one day I read about Wealthy Affiliate University and decided to investigate further.

I read a lot of reviews and they all had positive things to say about Wealthy Affiliate. Their website looked very professional and was a refreshing change from the usual garish advertisements I had been used to seeing on the internet. They had so much to offer and so I decided to join.

Wealthy Affiliate is an online internet marketing community which trains members in all aspects of internet marketing. First of all I began the 8 Week Action Plan. Each week you are given a lesson and tasks to complete to guide you step by step and give you a thorough grounding in internet marketing. There are also lessons and tutorials to complete in the Learning Centre.

I have found the forum to be one of the greatest advantages about joining Wealthy Affiliate. In the past when I had bought an e-book that is supposed to teach me how to work from home and make money online, once you have made your purchase, that is it. If you have any queries or problems you just have to get on with it by yourself. But with Wealthy Affiliate there are always other members to help you out so you are never stuck with a problem for very long. They also offer one to one mentoring.

Once you join you will never have to buy another e-book or be fooled by any get rich quick schemes. They have all the tools and resources you need to become a successful internet marketer. You are taught that you do not have to have money to make money and are shown all the free methods you can use. You are also shown the pay per click methods and how to set up a successful AdWords campaign.

Some of the key features at Wealthy Affiliate include Site Rubix Website Builder, Free Web Hosting, Keyword Research Tools, Clickbank Research Tool, Competition Spy Tool, Turnkey Feeder Sites, Website Templates, Rapid Writer-Content Generator/SEO Optimizer, Website Development Training, The Share Zone, Link Cloaking and Analytics Tool, Keyword Lists, Access to WA Jobs System, Your Own WA Space and Blog. The list goes on and on.

But first be warned, if you are new to internet marketing you must be prepared to work hard and take your time to go through a very big learning curve. If you are an impatient person who is not prepared to work hard, then perhaps you would be better off trying something different. But if you have a burning desire to be your own boss and work from home, then you are the type of person who will benefit from becoming a member and learning how to become a Wealthy Affiliate.

Commission Blueprint – is it Worth the Effort??

The only thing I can say is that I have been looking for a long time for a home based income system and I was always seeing this thing called Commission Blueprint. I Decided one day to do some research about them cause there are a lot of people saying the have gotten a lot of money just by following their system. I am not calling anyone a liar but they are throwing out some crazy numbers.

 

What is it??

 

Well, in short it is a packet that has material for training in affiliate marketing. How many do you think are out there…10,20,100…well I can tell you that they are a lot. The trick with Commission Blueprint is that they market only one single product from Clickbank marketplace with Google AdWords. The plan is pretty simple:

 

· Choose a product. · Research the product. · Generate keyword ideas. · Pick one keyword and bid on it using Google AdWords.

 

Looks pretty simple right??….well as you know Google AdWords are not for free so for someone entirely new to affiliate marketing I would say that this is not a good idea to start with while there are a lot of other online income systems out there that are free.

 

Now don’t get me wrong because Commission Blueprint is there to teach you how to do this right but they do not tell you what keywords to choose and you do not want to spend a lot of money on a campaign only to find out that your keywords are wrong. So I would say that it would be best for the newbies in affiliate marketing or internet marketing to stick with the free/lower budget marketing tools out there cause there are a lot of them.

 

What do I get??

 

This is mostly covered by video tutorials witch will show you how to choose your products and creating your AdWord campaign. But don’t worry you will not only get to sit back and watch some videos cause there are of course number of ebooks for you to read as well written by Tim Godfrey and Steve Cleyton creators of Commission Blueprint.

Conclusion

 

Would I buy Commission Blueprint?….not if I was starting out my affiliate marketing business. Like I said before in this article there are a lot of similar products out there that require less or no money at all to archive the same results so thats where I would start and then maybe after being in affiliate marketing for sometime I would maybe go for Commission Blueprint.
